Perchlorate in the Water

I was looking up reasons my thyroid is so messed up and attacking me. My world is very very small when I think about what is safe in food and water and air to be around. I knew there was a reason not to eat winter lettuce. This was the reason: there is perchlorate, rocket fuel, in the water supply. The contaminated water is used for crops and like 97% of all cow's milk, mother's milk, and winter lettuce has perchlorate in it.

These plants concentrate perchlorate: tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, spinach, citrus, melons and more.

This is old news, but it's being suppressed by those releasing rocket fuel into the water supply and not wanting to clean it up. Never mind that their children and families are and will suffer terribly from this indulgence.

"Ammonium perchlorate is widely used throughout the aerospace, munitions, and pyrotechnics industries as a primary ingredient in solid rocket and missile propellants, fireworks, and explosive charges. Following the Cold War, the U.S. Department of Defense was left with roughly 140 million pounds of ammonium perchlorate to dispose of between 1993 and 2005. This highly soluble salt has tainted soils and water sources all over the world, and is believed to be an endocrine disrupter, adversely affecting the growth patterns of a fetus or a young child, according to recent medical studies." http://www.sti.nasa.gov/tto/spinoff2002/er_6.html

There are 6 states without a perchlorate presence as of 2003:
